In all my years at the Patriots, the thing I am most proud to have produced are the championship banners. The first back in 2001 was almost an afterthought – sort of: Hey, wouldn’t it be cool to unveil a banner at the regular season home opener? A few days before the game was to take place, I was approached and told I literally had 5 minutes to bang out 3 ideas. One was chosen, and we ran with it. Had I known there were going to be so many more I would have begged for at least 10 minutes.
I also do mini versions to give away to fans on “banner night,” and I was absolutely weepy eyed verklempt thrilled to see a photo of one of them IN SPACE taken by NASA Astronaut Jessica Meir…
